Indeed. I have discovered that my fear of losing has become so great that it is impeding my willingness to take chances. I have allowed myself to be inflicted by a common illness of this part of the world. It is called the “Kiasu” (read: afraid to lose) syndrome.
If I reflect back upon my life, it is the moments when I threw caution to the wind, took the bull by its horns, and burnt the bridges behind me that brought me my greatest successes. It’s time to get better.
