While shopping at Carrefour on the weekend, poor C was accosted by security to “seal” his “manbag”.
This is the practiced policy for Carrefour, Giant, Tesco, or any of the other hypermarkets, when carrying bags into the shopping area. The exceptions to this rule are ladies handbags.
So what happens when a man carries a “manbag”? A manbag, correct me if I’m wrong, has an identical function to a lady’s handbag, so therefore, should it not be treated with the same exception to the rule?
Or perhaps C’s bag in this case was too big?
The photos below show a size impression of C’s “manbag” compared against his sister’s handbag. H’s handbag was even larger than C’s “manbag”, yet, H was allowed to walk through security freely.
So what gives?
