I’m a little behind on the The 31-Day Calendar of Blog Post Ideas for January, so here’s January 1’s post:
The topic was “Blogtipping“. Well, I didn’t know what Blogtipping is, but I found a simple explanation of it at Business Blogwire:
“To go blogtipping, simply publish a blog post where you identify three bloggers and give each one three compliments and one helpful tip.”
So here’s my blogtipping for the day:
Sim is an old climbing partner of mine from way back in the days when the both of us still bore some semblance of fitness. He writes about his day to day experiences and thoughts.
Sim:
- You’re the funniest, most understated person I’ve ever met.
- I love reading your blogs because they always manage to put a smile on my face whatever the topic it is you’ve chosen to write about.
- You help me see the lighter part of life, even in the most serious of subjects.
TIP: The first experience of Mah Jong is always the worst. Play it a few more times and you’re bound to get better at it and, not to mention, addicted to it.
I first saw Patrick on stage in a satirical, stand-up comedy performance from Actor’s Studio.
Patrick:
- I love your tongue-in-cheek humour and the way you poke fun at the ridiculous happenings we often read about in the papers.
- If it weren’t for your blog, I don’t think I could bear to keep up with what’s happening in our country.
- I admire the way you easily stand up before an audience and bring the house down.
TIP: Please continue to write like you do - I look forward to each new entry you post on your blog and I’m sure a lot of other people do, too.
I first met Anna rock climbing. Is there a pattern here? Perhaps there is. She was such an inspiration to me because for a petite girl of her size, she was an excellent climber. Anna aspires to be a professional photographer and constantly works to improve the quality of her pictures.
Anna:
- I admire your dedication to your causes. Once you make a decision, you go after it with everything you’ve got.
- You’ve been an inspiration to me both as a climber and as a friend.
- I love your pictures! I may not have the eye of a professional photographer, but for what it’s worth, they look pretty professional to me.
TIP: Don’t get disheartened by comparing yourself with the other big shots out there. We all tend to be exceptionally critical over our own work. Just remember to enjoy the journey and you’ll be surprised how quickly you can achieve your goals.
